If you are in an automatic transmission car, follow these steps to start the vehicle:
- Place your key in the ignition and turn it to the ‘on' (third) position.
- Press the brake pedal.
- Switch the gear to Drive (D).
- Lift your foot from the brake and press the accelerator gradually to start moving. (30)
If you are in a manual transmission car, follow these steps to start the vehicle:
- Place vehicle in neutral (N).
- Press the clutch pedal with your left foot and the brake pedal with your right.
- Turn the key to the ‘on' position.
- Release the parking brake and switch gears to first.
